proxychains and torsocks are tools that use LD_PRELOAD to hook network connections and redirect them through a proxy.

In this short video I demonstrate how a configuration mistake in proxychains (the default is fine) leads to a DNS leak revealing the requested domain on the network.

It is to show that there are many things that can go wrong and that TorBrowser and Tails OS go through a lot to provide protection.
