Bombadillo Devlog #2: Gemini support

In this devlog we see the early stages of support for the gemini protocol. Currently working are:

  • Requests to gemini tls secured gemini servers (no current support for client side certificates)
  • Parsing of type “text/gemini” responses with a status code in the 2 series and display of any other “text/_“ response. Non-text processing is coming soon with options to download or attempt to open in an appropriate program
  • Status 3 responses (redirect). The user is notified of the redirect and asked if they would like to follow it or not
  • Notification of error for satus codes int he 4/5 series
  • Notification of lack of support (currently) for status codes int he 1 and 6 series

In general gemini and gopher should work fairly seamlessly.
